Salt Point Turnpike is closed between Bedel Road and Cream Street -- a closure expected to last for an extended amount of time, according to authorities. Motorists are being urged to avoid the area.
Multiple agencies are responding to the blaze, which tore through the side of the structure as crews battled the blaze, which quickly spread through the building. As of 7 a.m. on Thursday morning, officials said that “conditions continue to worsen” at the building as the fire burns.
No injuries were initially reported.
